A longstanding tradition gets a reintroduction this month at the Ohio Art League. Originating in 1916, the Thumb Box Exhibition showcases works that take up less than a square foot of space by numerous member artists. Its return features a substantial chain of sterling silver squares by Joan Pogalies, a calm image of imminent doom by Helma Groot and a silkscreen by Jen Adrion that translates the political make-up of a portion of the 43212 area code into a constellation of red and blue dots. Pieces by Robert Metzger, Jeff Regensburger, Francis Schanberger, Hani Hara and Carol Boram-Hayes are also on view and available for purchase.
