Hi! I'm Jen Adrion, a lifelong hustler and perpetual project starter. I love the intersection between art and business, so most of my time is spent exploring this space through various entrepreneurial ventures, personal projects, and occasional client work.
I'm half of the creative duo behind These Are Things, a collection of quirky wearable accessories that is carried in over 600 stores worldwide including Modcloth, Nasty Gal, PacSun, and Urban Outfitters. I develop new product concepts for our line and lead the brand's marketing strategy.
I’m also currently researching, writing, and art directing a series of educational books for National Geographic Kids.
I’ve collaborated with a wide range of companies including Adobe, AFAR, Airbnb, American Greetings, Burger King, Emirates, HOW, McDonald's, Southwest Airlines, and Verizon. My work has been featured in awesome places like 99U, Apartment Therapy, Awwwards, Cereal, Complex, Design*Sponge, GQ, NYLON, Print, and The $100 Startup.
In past lives, I taught college courses in typography and design, illustrated modern maps, wrote copy for e-commerce and technical manuals, and stacked vegetables at a roadside farm market.
When I'm not working, I'm usually lifting heavy things, sitting in my favorite coffee shop, writing about life, reading nonfiction exclusively, obsessing about skincare and makeup, doing my nails, playing HoTS and D&D, hanging out with my cat Dill, and planning my next travel adventure. (Not necessarily in that order.)
